Remote control with 433.92 MHz operating frequency, rolling code, with 4 buttons, suitable for all products with an Autotech receiver. It features an innovative design with a protective sliding button cover, is compact in size, and has been designed according to the latest technologies and European standards. The encoding is KeeLoq Rolling Code (non-copyable), which ensures maximum security as the encoded transmitted signal of the remote control changes every time a button is pressed. It includes a keyring so you can attach it to your keys.

Rolling code encoding - Security for your automation!

Rolling Code encoding method.

The encoded transmitted signal of the remote control changes every time the remote is pressed and consists of 3 different parts:

  1. Remote control code. Unique to each remote control (among 1 billion codes).
  2. Customer code. Each company uses its own code here (chip factory code).
  3. Button pressed on the remote control. This is also transmitted as part of the transmitted code.
  4. Counter. Every time a button (key) on the remote control is pressed, the counter increases by one unit. The maximum count is 65,000 (except in special cases). Considering that if you press it 10 times a day, its lifespan is 17 years.

The transmitted encoded rolling code signal consists of 32 to 48 characters, depending on the manufacturer and the method followed. There are no dip-switches on the remote control, so we only open it to change the battery.

Advantages:

  • Modern technology.
  • Absolute security as there is no chance of coinciding with the same country code, let alone a neighbour's.
  • Cheaper manufacturing cost as it does not use expensive dip-switches.
  • Much smaller size compared to fixed code remote controls
  • Cannot be copied.
Detailed description

RF wireless remote control transmitter (remote control) 433.92 MHz rolling code, with KeeLoq 64bit algorithm, type RC-X 4, by Autotech for use with compatible receivers from the same company.

The RC-X 4 wireless rolling code remote control (remote control transmitter) is small in size and practical to use.

It has four buttons, numbered 1, 2, 3 and 4, which can be used to issue up to 4 different control commands (4 channels / four-channel remote control) to compatible remote control receivers.

Thus, for example, button 1 can open and close our house gate, button 2 can open and close our garage door, button 3 can control the traffic barrier in our workplace parking lot, etc. It is also possible, if the automation panel and the remote control receiver have this capability, for button 1 to open our house gate and button 2 to close it. Furthermore, it is possible to open and close both our house gate and our country house gate by pressing 1. As you can see, the combinations are many.

Features
  • In combination with compatible remote control receivers, it is suitable for remote control of various mechanisms and other automations.
  • Easy registration process to a remote control receiver.
  • Elegant and durable body with sliding button protection cover.
  • Long-lasting battery. The battery can be easily found on the market (12V alkaline, type 27A - also available with codes G27A, MN27, GP27A, A27, L828, EL812, EL-812, CA22, B-1, SNN4176A, ALK27A, A27BP, K27A, V27GA, VA27GA, VR27, MN27, MS27, R27A). Changing it is simple and does not affect the remote control's operation.
  • Very small dimensions and weight.
  • Number of channels (separate commands): 4 with a single button press
  • Operating frequency: 433.92 MHz
  • Algorithm: KeeLoq 64bit rolling code
Note that the indicator LED is blue.
  • Maximum range: 60 m (under ideal conditions)
  • Dimensions: 55×30 mm
  • SMD Technology
  • Integrated microprocessor
  • CE conformity marking

RCX-4 remote controls have the following characteristics:

  • The LED indicator light is blue.
  • The 4 buttons are numbered 1, 2, 3 and 4.
  • The front features a black plastic sliding protective cover.
Basic usage instructions

The RC-X 4 remote control transmitter (remote control) cannot work with any commercially available receiver, even if it operates on the same frequency (433.92 MHz). It only works with compatible receivers from the same manufacturer (such as the REC-3003 and REC-3003-PICO), which, in addition to "listening" on the same frequency, also understand the specific communication protocol.

Very simply, each of the 4 buttons 1, 2, 3 and 4 on the remote control transmitter corresponds to a secret code stored in the transmitter's memory.

When we press one of these buttons, the transmitter uses that button's code to create an encrypted message which it then transmits. If a compatible receiver in the area knows the secret code, it can decrypt the message and perform the action we have programmed it to do (usually activating a switch).

Please note that the receiver does not recognize the remote control itself, but rather the codes it transmits. Therefore, it does not know that this is button 2 of remote control A and this is button 3 of remote control B. Also, any actions we perform always concern a specific button and not the entire remote control (all 3 buttons). For example, we register a random code to a button in the receiver, clone it, or assign it, and not to the entire remote control.

IMPORTANT: These remote controls are rolling code with KeeLoq encoding and a customer code. This means that all remote controls you use with the same remote control receiver must not only be compatible (i.e., the same model) but also have the same reseller code (i.e., be purchased from the same reseller of the manufacturer).

Registering an RC-X 4 remote control to a compatible receiver

For the receiver to recognize the remote control, we must follow the registration procedure below. Physical access to both the receiver and the transmitter is required.

The RC-X 4 remote control transmitter works with compatible receivers from the same manufacturer. To begin the registration process for one of the buttons 1, 2, 3 or 4 of the RC-X 4 remote control transmitter, we must press the corresponding button on the receiver. Usually, this button is marked AUTO LEARN and is located either on the remote control receiver (on standalone receivers) or on the control panel's circuit board.

For detailed instructions for each specific receiver or control panel, please refer to the corresponding installation instructions.

Copying an RC-X 4 remote control

RC-X 4 remote controls use KeeLoq encoding and cannot be copied (not only by identical remote controls but by no remote control on the market).
