Dimensions and Description of ACM Titan 240/76 BME mechanism
The ACM Titan 240/76 BME central rolling shutter mechanism is suitable for a Φ76 shaft and can be installed on rolling shutters with a maximum height of 6.0m and a maximum weight of 240Kg. It has a cable for disengagement and manual operation and is suitable for all rolling shutters with springs with outer dimensions of Φ240 mm.

Installation of ACM Titan 240/76 BME rolling shutter mechanism

- We create a hole 5cm from the center of the shaft as shown in the diagram above.
- Unscrew the M10 screws from the motor drum.
- Then, with a 6mm Allen key, unscrew the two halves (top and bottom) of the motor drum.
- Remove the plastic strip which is the bearing of the drum mechanism. The plastic strip must be removed carefully so that it does not collect dirt but the grease remains.
- Unscrew the 4 M8 screws with a 6mm Allen key. Then remove the 2 halves of the motor body.
- Optionally, if required, install the plastic adapter for the shaft diameter based on the existing Φ10 hole.
- Reinstall the two halves of the mechanism with the 4 M8 screws, which surround the shaft.
- Insert the M10 screw into the Φ10 hole we opened initially, using a 17mm wrench. This screw has a hexagonal head and no nut. It passes through the shaft to prevent the motor from moving independently of the shaft.
- Carefully reinstall the bearing (plastic strip).
- Reinstall the two halves of the drum mechanism with the 2 M8 screws using a 6mm Allen key.
- Install the other M10 screw (which has a nut) and tighten it to stabilize the motor. Use a 17mm wrench. Then tighten the "lock nut" to secure the connection.
- Optionally, if required, install the plastic adapter for the drum diameter.
- Turn the motor to manual operation, holding the release cable. Turn the drum one full rotation manually, in the direction the shutter closes.
- Secure the upper part of the shutter curtain (the last slat) to the motor drum. This is achieved by screwing the corresponding M10 screw (C) together with its washer into the thread of the upper half of the motor drum using a 17mm wrench. If the motor's position does not allow it, pull the motor's cable to bring it to the correct position. (If the curtain has a special piece for its connection to the motor, use that and do not drill a hole in the last slat of the shutter).
- Drill two holes in the shaft. The two holes are Φ12mm, one for the release cable in case of power failure for manual operation of the shutter and one for the motor's power cable. These holes must be smoothed to avoid damaging the manual operation cable or the power cable.
- Pass the motor's power cable through the first Φ12mm hole we created. The cable must be secured so that it is not damaged during the shutter's movement. The cable exits from the end of the shaft to be connected. The cable can exit to the right or left of the shaft, wherever it is convenient during installation. Connect the cable (to the 3 contacts of the terminal block and to the motor body).
- Install the motor's release cable in the second hole. The cable must be secured so that it is not damaged during the shutter's movement. Also, the manual operation cable must not bend but have as small inclinations as possible to function correctly. To install the cable, the "pinecone" must be removed and reinstalled at the end.
- Check that the motor and shutter are correctly connected. Also, check that the motor does not allow the shutter to move unless we have disengaged the manual operation. If this is not the case, check the connection of the wire rope to the motor and the path of the wire rope so that it does not have abrupt inclines and curves.
- Adjust the limit switch for the closed position of the shutter. Close the shutter. If the drum is on the left (as you view it), turn the plastic nut (Q1) until it presses the limit switch (1) at which point it will make a soft "click". Now we have set the fully closed position of the shutter.
- Adjust the limit switch for the open position of the shutter. Turn the plastic nut and raise the shutter electrically and pay attention to when it will press limit switch 2 to stop the movement of the shutter. It is good for this procedure to be done hesitantly and in small steps. It is better to make a few more attempts to reach the correct position than to exceed it by making large steps. We must be alert to stop the movement of the shutter ourselves in case the limit switch does not stop it.

The connection of the motor to the curtain is done as shown in the diagram below.
The limit switches cut off the power supply to the mechanism when the shutter's travel to the fully open or fully closed position is complete. The limit switches are activated by a black plastic carrier that moves right or left during the shutter's movement. The open and closed positions are adjusted by the plastic nuts on the carrier. Depending on the installation of the mechanism (whether the drum is on the left or right), the respective open and closed limit switches are defined.
