Dimensions and description of the central roller shutter mechanism ACM Titan 220 E HR

The ACM Titan 220 E HR mechanism is installed on roller shutters that operate with springs. It is suitable for a shaft with a diameter of Φ60 and has an outer dimension of Φ220. (it is suitable for Φ220 counterbalancing springs).
The mechanism is non-reversible, which means that it does not move unless it receives a command from the panel. In case of power failure, it has a disengagement system with a "pine cone" device.

Installation steps for ACM Titan 220 security roller shutter mechanism:
- To access the roller shutter shaft, place it in its closed position.
- Drill 3 holes in the shaft. The first two holes have a diameter of Φ12mm and are used for the disengagement cable in case of power failure and for the motor's power supply cable. Smooth these holes so as not to damage the manual cable or the power supply cable. The 3rd hole has a diameter of Φ10mm and is used to stabilize the mechanism on the shaft. The mechanism must be placed in the center of the shaft.
- Then unscrew screw C from the mechanism drum.
- Using a 6mm Allen key, unscrew and remove the two half covers (top and bottom) of the mechanism drum.
- Remove the mechanism bearing (plastic strip) (F). Remove it carefully so that the grease remains intact without dirt, etc.
- Unscrew the 4 M8 screws (H) with a 6mm Allen key. Then remove the 2 half pieces of the motor body (G).
- If the shaft has a different diameter, install the plastic shaft diameter adapter (I) based on the existing Φ10 hole. (optional step)
- Reinstall the two half pieces (G) of the motor with the 4 M8 screws, which surround the shaft.
- Install the M10 screw (A) into the Φ10 hole we drilled initially, using a 17 mm wrench. This screw has a hexagonal head and no nut. It passes through the shaft to prevent the motor from moving independently of the shaft.
- Install the other M10 screw (B) (which has a nut) and tighten it to stabilize the motor. Use a 17 mm wrench. Then tighten the "lock nut" to secure the connection.
- Carefully reinstall the bearing (F) (plastic strip).
- Reinstall the two half pieces of the mechanism drum (G) with the 2 M8 screws (E) using a 6mm Allen key. Optionally, if required, install the plastic drum diameter adapter (K).
- In the last slat of the roller shutter, make a Φ12mm hole at the point where it will be connected to the M10 screw (C).
- Secure the upper part of the roller shutter curtain (the last slat) to the motor drum. This is achieved by screwing the corresponding M10 screw (C) along with its washer, into the thread of the upper half of the motor drum using a 17 mm wrench. If the motor's position does not allow it, pull the motor cable to bring it into the correct position. (If the curtain has a special piece for its connection to the motor, use that and do not drill a hole in the last slat of the roller shutter.
- Pass the motor's power supply cable through the first Φ12mm hole you created. The cable must be secured so that it is not damaged during the movement of the roller shutter. The cable exits from the end of the shaft to be connected. The cable can exit to the right or left of the shaft, whichever is convenient during installation. In the second hole, place the motor's release cable. The cable must be secured so that it is not damaged during the movement of the roller shutter. Also, the manual cable must not bend but have as small inclinations as possible to function correctly. To pass the cable, the "pine cone" must be removed and reinstalled at the end.
- Connect the 4 contacts of the terminal block (M). Special care is needed to ensure that all conductors are firmly tightened in the terminal block. (If the cable is pre-connected, skip this step)
- Place the plastic cover (N) which we secure with the 2 screws (O) to cover the connections and the terminal block. If the motor has an electric brake, remove the tooth (P) from the cover to allow the electric brake cable to pass through.
- Then, after all the above steps have been completed, proceed to adjust the limit switches (1) and (2). These switches define the open and closed position of the roller shutter by cutting off power to the motor.
- Close the roller shutter. If the drum is on the left (as we view it), turn the plastic nut (Q1) until it presses the limit switch (1), at which point it will make a slight "click". Now we have set the fully closed position of the roller shutter.
- Then turn the plastic nut (Q2) and raise the roller shutter electrically, and watch when it presses limit switch 2 to stop the roller shutter's movement. It is good practice to do this process hesitantly and in small steps. It is better to make a few more attempts to reach the correct position than to overshoot it by taking large steps. We must be alert to stop the roller shutter's movement ourselves in case the limit switch does not stop it.
- In the event that the roller shutter is installed differently, i.e., the drum is on the right as we view it, then (1) is the limit switch for the open position of the roller shutter and (2) is the limit switch for the closed position of the roller shutter, so we adjust the above steps accordingly.
