Features of the ProfelmNet PSD-36T remote control

ProfelmNet PSD-36T remote control
The ProfelmNet PSD-36T remote control is easy to use and functional. It has 4 buttons, so it can store up to 4 different codes from different mechanisms (gate, garage door, roller shutter, etc.). They are RF transmitters, with a fixed 12-bit code at 433.92 MHz.
This feature allows the user to operate various doors and automation systems with a single remote control. (home, work, country house, etc.) It is possible for a user to open both the house and the country house door with the first button. Depending on the panel, button A could open a door while button B could close it. Programming possibilities can cover every requirement. It is also possible for each user-remote control to have access to a different combination of automation systems.

It operates at a frequency of 433.92 MHz and can copy other fixed code remote controls operating at the same frequency.

Detailed description of the ProfelmNet PSD-36T remote control features:
  • Programming the remote control is easy since ProfelmNet panels usually have a button with the indication CODE through which the remote control is programmed quickly and directly.
  • Remote controls can be easily copied to each other without having to be near the receiver. They can also copy other compatible remote controls that work at 433.92 MHz. (fixed and not rolling code)
  • Small dimensions and weight, with beautiful design.
  • Robust construction from polycarbonate plastic.
  • Four channels, four different commands. (by pressing the corresponding button)
  • The battery lasts a long time due to low power consumption.
  • Operating frequency: 433.92 MHz
  • Algorithm: Fixed 12-bit code.
  • Maximum range: 60 m (under ideal conditions)
  • SMD technology
  • Integrated microprocessor
  • CE conformity marking

Instructions for ProfelmNet PSD-36T remote controls

ProfelmNet PSD-36T remote controls can copy remote controls of the same type. However, they can copy many other commercial remote controls as long as they are on the same frequency (433.92 MHz) and have a fixed code. They cannot copy remote controls that have a rolling code.

The ProfelmNet PSD-36T remote control has 4 buttons which are equivalent regardless of their arrangement or color. The only reason they have this specific arrangement and button D has a different color is to facilitate the user in choosing the correct button more easily.

The remote control works as follows: when the user presses a button, an encrypted message is generated (from the secret code of the button) and transmitted. If there is a compatible receiver that knows this secret code, it decrypts the message and executes the command for which it has been programmed.

The receiver does not recognize which button initiated the command. This means that the same door could be opened by one remote control with button A, by another with button B, etc.

Programming the ProfelmNet PSD-36T remote control to a compatible receiver

Each receiver has its own mode of operation, so it is advisable to consult its user manual. In most cases, however, registering the remote control is a simple matter. We need to bring the remote control close to the receiver and remove any cover we have to expose the circuit board.

In the case of a ProfelmNet receiver or control panel, we look for the CODE button which starts the programming process. (it exists in almost all ProfelmNet receivers or control panels) The indicator LEDs inform about the programming status.

Copying ProfelmNet PSD-36T remote controls

ProfelmNet PSD-36T remote controls can copy each other without requiring access to the receiver. This is often extremely convenient as the receiver can be located in hard-to-reach places (at a high altitude, inside a false ceiling, etc.)

Below is an example of copying button A from the original remote control to button B of the new one:

New remote control

  • Press buttons A and B simultaneously and hold them down until the light flashes 3 times.
  • While holding down button A, release button B and press and release it 3 times slowly.
  • The light flashes, then release button A as well.

Then place the two remote controls close together (their front sides almost touching)

Original:

  • Press the button that has the code you want to copy (in our case, button A) and hold it down.

New remote control:

  • Press and hold the button to which you want to assign the code (in our case, button B) that you will copy from the ORIGINAL, until the new remote control's light remains steadily lit. Continue to hold it down.

Original and new remote control:

  • Release the buttons on both remote controls.

New remote control:

  • Press buttons C and D simultaneously until the light starts flashing, then release both. This step completes the copying process. Particular attention is required because without this step, the copy will not be completed.

The process is repeated if you want to copy another button. If the copying takes place near the door, care must be taken, as the automation will be activated during the process.
