External antenna 433.92 MHz with extension cable. Suitable for most remote controls of sliding and swing gate mechanisms, for roller shutters and overhead garage doors.
Detailed description of the external antenna
The external antenna is a very useful accessory for controlling automations from a greater distance. It is suitable for 433.92 MHz frequency and has a coaxial cable (RG-58) 2.5m long. The cable can be cut to the desired length and also has a metal bracket for mounting at the appropriate point.
It is installed when the receiver and antenna need to be in different locations for the automation to function correctly.
It is mainly installed outside metal roller shutters and metal overhead garage doors, as their metal surface prevents the signal from being transmitted outwards. This way, the receiver, for protection and safety reasons, is placed inside, while the antenna is outside. Also, an antenna may be needed for swing gate automations if the control unit has been installed inside the building and the arms are outside at a long distance. Generally, however, wherever there is a need to boost the signal range, the external antenna is the sure solution.
